InStep Software LLC, a leading provider of real-time software
products and solutions, announced today that Nova Scotia Power Inc., a
wholly owned subsidiary of EMERA, Inc. (TSX-EMA), has licensed InStep's
PRiSM software as the real-time condition monitoring application for
monitoring Nova Scotia's
power generation assets.
InStep's PRiSM software will monitor Nova Scotia
Power's critical generation assets to provide early warning equipment
failure identification, performance monitoring, and problem analysis.
PRiSM uses sophisticated data mining and pattern recognition
technology for real-time early identification of equipment problems that can
often lead to unexpected downtime or efficiency losses.
InStep Software Vice-President Anthony Maurer says,
