CHICAGO, IL - March 28, 2006 - InStep Software, LLC,
a leading provider of real-time software systems and solutions, announced today that NiSource has implemented its flagship product eDNA.
InStep's eDNA software is configured in a redundant architecture for seamless primary and backup control center use and is interfaced to the Areva SCADA/EMS system. The eDNA software is designed to maintain a high resolution long term on-line archive of the massive amounts of information created by a large transmission and distribution network. This information is then used for planning and real-time operational needs. Graphical displays, calculations, and reports provide an effective way to visualize both the historical and real-time information through a common web browser interface.
InStep software Vice President Anthony Maurer said, "NiSource has already provided significant input into our new waterfall plotting module. We are always excited to work with customers that are willing to help drive our continued product advancement".
