InStep Software chosen by SCE; other pacts
Industrial Peer-to-Peer LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of InStep Software LLC, has been selected by Southern California Edison to provide its eDNA data management software. According to Industrial Peer-to-Peer, eDNA can capture, archive, and time-stamp historical and real-time data from utility and industrial plant equipment and systems operations sources, including heat rates, fuel costs, and transmissions. the software provides access to time-sensitive data via the Web or client server throughout the enterprise, and can be integrated with other systems for preventive maintenance, forecasting, and other reporting and analytic functions.
The software allows plant engineers, operators, and executives to monitor performance and profit, and allows for quicker strategic action to avoid system shutdowns, decrease cost, and increase revenue and operational efficiency. The software provides SCE with the capability to archive and access unlimited amounts of data for forecasting, preventative maintenance, and regulatory support documentation.
