An automated method of identifying all changes each month and making the appropriate changes to each metropolitan area's dialing plan.
Solution:
InStep Software developed a software system that fully automates the process of maintaining and updating switch routing configurations based on both market-specific and LERG data. This system downloads the LERG database monthly, sorts and identifies any changes and produces an automatic upload file specific to each LATA. The data is automatically uploaded and inserted into the appropriate switch via KiTT. The system also provides a flexible, easy to use, web-based tool for the managing, querying, and reporting of LERG information.
