EBS can be integrated with existing business systems and automated meter reading/data collection devices, or the system can be operated as a stand-alone solution. EBS allows for a virtually unlimited combination of primary and sub-metering and includes the ability to define account splits based on square footage or percent allocation. Virtual meters are configurable to support simple or complex utility usage estimates for automated billing of non-metered locations and locations that are a subset of a metered location.
